She is the daughter of actress Moon Moon Sen and granddaughter of legendary actress Suchitra Sen. younger sister, Riya Sen, is also in the production of Bollywood. Their father is Bharat Dev Varma, scion of the royal family of Tripura state forward. Her paternal grandmother was ILA Devi Princess of Cooch Behar (in Bengal), whose sister Gayatri Devi is the Maharani of Jaipur.
